Open Studio is for anyone who would like to paint or work on a project in the Members’ Gallery at KIFA. Hours are 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 11am - 4pm when docents are on duty. A donation of $5 is requested and will go toward the support of KIFA and its outreach to our art community.

Sip and Spin Nights
Calling all doodlers for this fun, meditative art workshop guaranteed to get our creative juices going! All skill levels are welcome, especially beginners. Participants will learn to make designs within a sampler using black ink micron pens, but will experiment with white and gold Jelly Roll pens, too! Techniques include simple grayscale and shading. Paper usage will be covered and how to transfer designs using tracing paper, with guidelines for keeping designs free from stray marks.
This class is for beginners through intermediate adults 18+. $7 materials fee.
Students will prepare their canvas as a background, paint various types and colors of paper and then create a composition to express individual creativity. Students will use many surface design tools to create texture to develop their personal style. No special skill needed, just a desire to have fun with artist Vicki Cearfoss.

You will learn how to prepare a gourd for your design, drill holes in the gourd and insert beads, then seal the gourds and attach the light fixture. You will need to bring a drill with a 9/64 drill bit and second bit smaller than 9/64.
This class is for beginner adults. $5 materials fee.
